I just visited the backlot that you used to sneak into when you were my age. Going to Universal Studios made me realize how much movies have made an impact on my life (especially when I was young). Even till this day, it gives me the “okay” to be a kid and dream. Speaking of dreaming, did you know that watching movies has many similarities to experiencing dreams, studies show. Something to do with how the brain works. Oh man, now that I think, I can trace back some connections between your films and my life. For instance, my Anthropology degree can be indirectly attributed from the adventurous Dr. Jones. Furthermore, the field work on Catalina Island during the summer of 2008 totally brought me back to Jurassic Park’s Isla Nurba. We wore big hats, rode jeeps on terrain, and even had to watch out for the herds of roaming buffalo (the next best thing to dinosaurs). And the fear of the unknown, aka aliens, which is in like every other film that you direct. It gives me a reason to constantly discover, adventure, set aside fear, and just keep trekking. You’re a powerhouse, one of the very few I admire.

P.S. Can you invite me on the set of your latest some day? :P
